HUD 202 Award
Utah Nonprofit Housing Corporation was awarded an $8,426,400 Section 202 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to build a 61 unit affordable senior housing project in Taylorsville, Utah. It is the first Leed certified project of its kind in the region! Residents will pay only 30% of their income in rent.
LIHTC Award
Utah Nonprofit Housing Corporation was awarded tax credits to complete the 110 unit acquisition and rehabilitation of the Riverwood Cove Apartments in Salt Lake City. It will continue to serve those with incomes at or below 55% the area median income. We encourage you to visit and tour the new club house and see an apartment.
New Rehab Projects Begin
Martha's Terrace and Preston Place are being refinanced enabling rehabilitation of resident apartments, and common areas. Be sure to get your name on the waiting lists of these fine facilities!

Adult & Youth Education
New financial Literacy and after school programming for youth will be rolled this year for residents in our multi-family properties thanks to the generous support of Ally Bank, Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. and Wells Fargo Bank. Watch for announcements by your housing project manager.
AAA Fair Credit
AAA Fair Credit is joining management this year to deliver a credit and personal financial empowerment training series entitled "Consumer Cents." Watch for the postings on the web-site calendar.
Utah Work Force Housing
The State of Utah's DHCD and LCDI's UWFHI were acknowledged as a national best practice this month at the Annual COSCDA Convention for creating planning tools and educational programming that promotes sustainable communities. UNPHC is proud to have been selected as one of the program developers.

* This year the Jerald Merrill Community Service Award is given to Valley Mental Health for work with th residents of Ivy House; and the Carl Inoway Community Lending & Investment Award is givn to Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. and Ally Bank for educational equipment, training, loans and investments in the Riverwood Cove Apartments.
